Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.

Stacie Cooper is this week’s recipient.

Title: District Technology Secretary

Years of experience: 23 years

Why you love being a Chieftain: I love being a Chieftain because I always have been and always will be! I started out my education as a Chieftain at Southeastern Elementary in kindergarten with Mrs. Zillis and graduated from BCS. My husband and both of our daughters also graduated from BCS, so we all bleed red and black! This year, our granddaughter has started out her education as a Chieftain. The community and staff support at BCS are like no other. Our district has some of the most caring, confident, and compassionate people who inspire me to be the best version of myself every single day. It is a true pleasure to work with such an amazing Chieftain family! I’ll always be their biggest cheerleader!

Classroom motto or quote to live by: “Things change, time changes. People change, life changes. Time changes things, life changes people.”

What you love doing outside of school: I love spending time with my family – cheering on my granddaughter at gymnastics competitions or even her tap dance recitals. I also love crafting and making baby blankets for special friends who are expecting little ones. Most of all, I love sitting on the beach.
