Sports Highlights

The 8th grade volleyball team beat Urbana 25-18, 25-13. Ava Layman had 6 kills, Presley Vigansky 7 assists, and Sophia Jacobs added 2 digs.

The 7th grade volleyball team lost to Urbana 16-25, 14-25. The Chiefs defense played very well combining for 7 digs. Offensively, Laney storm led the Chiefs with 2 kills, while Hailey Augustus had 1. Brooklynne Kuntz added 2 aces.

With an outstanding Defensive performance the 8th grade Chiefs shut out JA to pull off the victory! Chiefs return to football
action on Thursday at 7p @ Kenton Ridge.

The 7th grade football team fell to Jonathan Alder 30-14 on Saturday morning. Reign St. Clair had two touchdown passes. Aven Caudill and Sam Jenkins each caught a touchdown. Bentley Stewart recovered a fumble on defense. The Chiefs will be back in action on Thursday @ Northridge. 

 

 

The BMS Boys CC Team placed 7th at the Celtic Clash in Dublin Jerome vs strong Division 1 competition. Every boy stepped up and ran a personal best time for the season. Jake Moreland led the way placing 2nd overall and becoming the first boy in Bellefontaine school history to break the 11:00 mark for two miles. Jake set the new school record in a blazing time of 10:48. Oliver Grandstaff broke the 12 minute mark for the first time finishing in 17th with an 11:46. Brenden Murray ran an outstanding race finishing in 37th with a personal best time of 12:29. Will Myers (51st in 12:46) and Landon Rister (67th in 13:19) rounded out the top 5 with their best times of the season. Caleb Sechrest broke his PR by over a minute coming through in 13:39 (73rd). Grady Feasel added a personal best time of 14:00 (80th) and Haydon Argabright ran his best time of the season by almost two minutes with an 18:08 (102nd).

The BMS Girls had another outstanding team race that saw nearly every girl run a personal best time for the season at the Celtic Clash in Dublin Jerome. The girls placed 9th as a team against strong Division 1 competition. Grace Brown led the way winning the race with a new school record time of 11:25. Brown's time is the fastest time so far this season in the State of Ohio. Hailee Lamb ran an outstanding race and broke the 14 minute mark for the first time with a personal best time of 13:54 (35th). Rylee Yelton added another great effort with a personal best time of 14:04 (41st). Hannah Wilson ran tough and broke the 15 minute barrier for the first time with a personal best time of 14:40 (56th). Sloan Stolly (77th in 15:10) and Karsyn Newkirk (78th in 15:13) stepped up with personal best times to aid the Chiefs effort. Camily Cely-Hernandez rounded out the team with another solid race of 15:36 (83rd).
