The Bellefontaine middle school cross country boys and girls won the Logan County Invitational on Tuesday, August 31.

The Boys won with a score of 25 points. Indian Lake finished 2nd with 45 points and Benjamin Logan 3rd with 57 points.

Medal winners for the Chiefs were Hayden Maus in 1st place with a time of 12:20, Jake Moreland in 2nd with a 13:00, Van LaFolette in 5th with a personal best time of 13:47, and Brenden Murray in 6th with a 13:53. Josias Robles 11th in 14:12 and Will Myers 17th in 17:11 added personal best times to aid the Chiefs effort. Other finishers for the Chiefs were Cody Hudson 14th in 15:48, Brandon Wong 15th in 17:01, Zerek Longbrake 18th in 17:14, Oliver Grandstaff 19th in 17:17, and Alex Johnson 21st in 19:11.

The Chieftain Girls remained undefeated on the season winning with a score of 34 points. Benjamin Logan was 2nd with a score of 41 points and Indian Lake was 3rd with a score of 51 points.

Medal winners for the girls were Grace Brown 2nd in 12:43, Callie Shumaker 6th in 14:57, and Harper Penhorwood 7th in 15:08. Also finishing for the Chiefs was Hailee Lamb in 9th with a personal best time of 15:15, Keira Manahan 10th in 15:26, and Hannah Wilson 19th in a personal best time of 17:21

The Chiefs will run at the Wapak Night Meet this Saturday.
