Last night the BMS girls' track team competed in their first meet of the season against local rivals, West Liberty and Indian Lake. The Chiefs won the meet by the score of BMS 68.5, WL 47.5, and IL 40 points. Winning their events for the Chiefs were Ava Reeves (100,200,long jump), Emily Lamb (high jump. discus), Kyle Adams (200 hurdles), and Callie Shumaker (400). 
Also scoring for the girls were Brianne Sechrest (100, 200, Pole Vault), Kaydin Lenhart (800, 1600, 4x400 relay), Kailyn Newman (400, 4x400 relay), Kelsey Snapp (shot put, discus, 4x400 relay), Lexi Yoder (high jump), Drew McComas (4x400), Shumaker (100 hurdles, 200 hurdles), Adams (100 hurdles, Long jump), and Lamb (shot put).  The team is at home on Tuesday for their next meet.  Great job girls. 

The Bellefontaine Middle School boys track team kicked off their season in a Tri-meet Thursday, athletes scoring were:
Alex Crabill 1st in the 100m Dash, 1st in 200m Dash, and 1st in the 400m Dash
Carter Kuhn 3rd in the 100m Dash, 2nd in 200m Dash, and 1st in Pole Vault
Kaiden Foulk 3rd in the 400mDash
Elias Abrego 3rd in the 800m Run and 3rd in the 1600m Run
Hayden Maus 4th in the 1600m Run
Carter Buck 4th in the 110m Hurdles and 4th in 200m Hurdles
Jordan Hensley 2nd in Discus
Trent Marcinko 3rd in Discus
